Andrew has been with a large Texas Police Department since 2015. Born and raised in Texas. A proud alumnus of a small catholic high school named Holy Cross. A local community college and the University of Texas at San Antonio were the next steps in formal education. 

Joined the Department at the young age of 22. Started out working the 2nd shift on patrol and was able to excel and be selected to a proactive unit (Street Crimes/Gang Unit), where he stayed for a majority of his patrol time. Most recently promoted to Detective Investigator and currently assigned to a Violent Crimes Detail. 

Always been an advocate for proactive policing and genuinely believes in its proven benefits. Numerous awards have been received for a multitude of high-profile apprehensions. 

Authored numerous opinion articles on his public blog (proactivecop.com). Proactive policing, 21st century policing, and the realities of being a younger Officer on the streets. 

I love hearing stories about proactive policing, especially in this day and age.
